October 20, 2025

Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) – The Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) will hold its bi-annual General Membership Meeting on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Saipan World Resort in Susupe, Saipan. The event will bring together tourism stakeholders, industry leaders, and community partners to discuss strategic developments and showcase key initiatives shaping the future of The Marianas.

The meeting will open with an update on the tourism industry and FY 2026 plans by MVA Managing Director Jamika Taijeron, followed by the official introduction and launch of the new Marianas global brand.

Taijeron emphasized the importance of The Marianas’ evolving global identity.

“The Marianas global brand is more than a logo—it’s our promise to the world,” said Taijeron. “It reflects the warmth of our people, the richness of our heritage, and the resilience of our islands. As we expand our reach globally, let us remain rooted in the values that make The Marianas distinct and unforgettable for those who visit.”

The evening will also award winners of the MVA Mafuti Tank pitch competition, selected for their innovative ideas aimed at enhancing visitor products, services, and experiences.

The meeting will open registration at 4 p.m., and the program will start at 4:30 p.m. The meeting cost is $34/person for MVA members and $39/person for non-members and includes dinner. Payments may be made at the door via cash, credit card, or debit card. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a no host bar will be available.

The MVA welcomes businesses, organizations, and individuals to its membership. Membership is $100/year, and accounts can be registered and paid on MVA’s English website at www.mymarianas.com or at the MVA office on Beach Rd. in I Liyan, Saipan.

The Marianas is an archipelago of 14 islands - including Saipan, Tinian, and Rota - in the Western Pacific. The Marianas are home to indigenous Chamorro and Carolinian people, as well as over 20 different ethnicities from around the world who live and work in this harmonious tropical paradise. Ancient latte stone limestone monoliths, traditional nature-based ocean navigation not reliant on modern technology, and a culture seasoned by East and West influences are just a few of the experiences found in The Marianas, where pristine sea, sand, and skies are only a 3–4-hour flight from major Asian gateway cities. From Korea Republic, Jeju Air and T’Way provide direct flights to Saipan from Seoul-Incheon. United Airlines flies three times a week from Tokyo-Narita, Japan, and daily from Guam. Hong Kong Airlines flies twice weekly from Hong Kong, China. Interisland travel between Saipan, Tinian, and Rota is provided by Star Marianas Air.
