Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands [06 APRIL 2026] —The Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) signed a strategic MOU on March 26, 2026, with Good Choice, one of Korea’s leading travel and leisure platforms, to launch joint marketing initiatives aimed at increasing arrivals to the Marianas.
The signing ceremony was attended by Jamie Kim, President & Managing Director of MVA Korea, and Yong Kyung Kim, Brand Director of Good Choice. Both organizations pledged to collaborate on joint marketing campaigns and digital content initiatives to promote Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
Good Choice, a comprehensive travel platform offering accommodation, flight, and activity booking services, has recently expanded its business into package travel. Through this collaboration, the company aims to strengthen its overseas travel content offerings by actively promoting travel products to the Marianas.
“Through our collaboration with the MVA, we plan to introduce the diverse attractions of the Marianas, including Saipan, to travelers,” said Kim. “We will continue to expand travel demand through marketing initiatives that combine engaging content with exclusive travel benefits."
The Marianas is gaining attention as a convenient travel destination for Korean professionals, as its close proximity to Korea does not require taking vacation days, or paid time off (PTO). To highlight this advantage, Good Choice has produced a three-part YouTube series on its official channel Traveler_ttt, featuring well-known Korean comedian Kwak Beom. The series, titled “No PTO: Weekend Escape,” showcases Kwak’s visit to Saipan and is being released on three consecutive Thursdays beginning last week.
“Through this strategic partnership with Good Choice, we expect to deliver the unique appeal of the Marianas to a wide range of travelers, including the MZ generation,” said MVA Managing Director Jamika R. Taijerson. “We will continue to collaborate with key partners to promote the Marianas’ Far From Ordinary travel experiences, including sports tourism and our distinct history and culture.."
The videos feature a variety of travel experiences, including an ATV adventure at Mt. Tapochau, which offers panoramic views of Saipan, snorkeling at the Grotto—one of the world’s top diving sites—and a northern stargazing tour. Additional highlights will include the destination’s white sand beaches, marine activities, local dining spots, and major tourist attractions, all introduced with Kwak Beom’s signature humor.

The Marianas is an archipelago of 14 islands - including Saipan, Tinian, and Rota - in the Western Pacific. The Marianas are home to indigenous Chamorro and Carolinian people, as well as over 20 different ethnicities from around the world who live and work in this harmonious tropical paradise. Ancient latte stone limestone monoliths, traditional nature-based ocean navigation not reliant on modern technology, and a culture seasoned by East and West influences are just a few of the experiences found in The Marianas, where pristine sea, sand, and skies are only a 3–4-hour flight from major Asian gateway cities. From Korea Republic, Jeju Air and T’Way provide direct flights to Saipan from Seoul-Incheon. United Airlines flies three times a week from Tokyo-Narita, Japan, and daily from Guam. Hong Kong Airlines flies twice weekly from Hong Kong, China. Interisland travel between Saipan, Tinian, and Rota is provided by Star Marianas Air and Micronesian Air Connection Services.
